Animesh Awasthi
Predoctoral Fellow
Animesh joined the lab in 2023 as a predoctoral fellow. He obtained his Bachelor and Master in Technology (M.Tech Dual degree) from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He majored in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Applications. During his master’s, he focused on developing a deep learning method for computational drug discovery. Along with his studies, he acquired professional and research experience through internships at Neurobit (sleep data analytics), University of Lausanne (SUR programme participant), University of Tokyo (UTSIP Scholar) and APT Portfolio (High Frequency Trading). His PhD research will focus on deep learning-driven protein design aiming to improve CAR T-cell therapies.
