Mustapha Jaiteh
Predoctoral Fellow
Mustapha, an immunologist, has amassed over eight years of research experience within the remit of infection and immunity at the Medical Research Council (MRC) unit in The Gambia. This was done in parallel with his undergraduate studies in biomedical science, prior to receiving the prestigious UK Chevening scholarship award to pursue a master’s in the Immunology of Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Mustapha’s PhD is aimed at elucidating the role of non-haematopoietic cells (stromal and epithelial cells) in driving immunity and further dissecting their interaction with the classical haematopoietic cells of the immune system during homeostasis and disease.
